Kinsey had swimming lessons twice this week and both were just lovely. The first day, Tuesday, I had to go to the bathroom afterwards. I can't really leave Kinsey out of my stall by herself so I manage to get Kinsey, Connor, and myself all into one stall. I just start, you know, doing my business when she decides she doesn't want to wait for me. So, she unlocks the door and runs out; leaving me with my pants down, literally- for all the women in the world to see. It was just fabulous. I can hear everyone one in the bathroom cracking up. What do you do?
The next day was even better. It's an indoor swim school and the water always leaves Kins really dry so I usually rinse her off in the showers by the pool. So, I take her to the showers and they are all being used except for one at the end. I notice all the moms are behind the shower heads, but think I'm smoother than that and can just lean in from the side. So, I lean over really far to be sure I don't get wet, turn the water on, and get sprayed right in the face. Not to mention it's the one time I wear a white shirt. What can I do but laugh and look around at everyone trying not to laugh at me. I guess someone had moved the shower head and I didn't notice. This embarrassing stuff has always happened to me. Does it happen to anyone else or am I just dense???? I was soaked from head to toe. Pretty freakin' hilarious!!

Singing time
AHHH!! Okay it's 9pm and I still don't know what to do for singing time tomorrow and church starts at 8am. I go through this pretty much every week; it is SO stressful. It's so hard figuring out a way to teach the kids the songs where they will actually pay attention. I am SO FRUSTRATED!!! Once I get there and do it I usually enjoy it but I just stress myself out way too much. Surprise surprise if you know me very well you know I always do this to myself. So annoying...

Okay this is going to be a mushy and cheesy post so if you don't want to hear then quit reading : ). I'm just so full of love for my children right now. I've spent all day playing with my kids and we had so much fun. I just got finished putting Kinsey to bed and she always wraps her little arms around my neck so tight and tells me how much she loves me while we lay in her bed trying to fall asleep. It's just so sweet I feel like I could explode. I already dread the day when she decides I'm not her favorite person anymore. And Connor, too. He always looks up at me so sweetly with those big blues while I'm nursing and just has the most innocent expression on his face. I can't stand it I just want to eat him up!! Okay I'm done.

Tonight I'm pouting because my workaholic hubby is at a class renewing his brokers license, he's going to be gone all weekend on a campout, and he's usually gone from 7-7 anyway. I haven't seen him all day and I hate it. He always livens up the house and we have so much more fun when he's here. Last week we took the kids to have a picnic at the park and the week before that we went for a little hike and played in the river we found. Things that we do without him but just aren't as much fun without daddy. And I like to kick his trash at Nintendo Wii... (he'll definitely contest that) Anyway, I'm happy I've got my chilldren to make me laugh when I'm missing him. Kinsey has been watching her self shake her fanny to the music on American Idol (yes, I'm lame) in the mirror all night. I should record it and put it on here but don't want to take the time. "Hey mom, look at me! I'm shakin' my bottom!" I'm thinking oh crap not this already! She finally bounced herself of the bed and hit her head... it was all pretty funny to see. Is that mean? I don't know why I laugh when people fall but I really think it's funny. I do feel bad for her she's my baby, but she didn't get hurt so I still think it's okay to laugh :)
Yesterday she came to me all worried and this is what she said when I asked her what was wrong...
Kinsey: "I'm berry berry sorry mommy but my book got broken."
Mom: "Oh no, what happened?"
Kinsey: She holds out her hands, wiggles her fingers, and stares at them in confusion like they have a mind of their own and says, "my fingers ripped it."
I try not laugh and tell her to bring it here so I can tape it up. He he... she always makes me laugh.

Excuse me while I ramble...
I was upstairs folding laundry when my house got really quiet. Hmmm... what is Kinsey doing that she shouldn't be? She's either covering herself in lotion, soap, shampoo, or anything else she can find that is liquid and in a bottle or pulling every little thing out of our junk drawer. So I go downstairs to see what the damage is and this is what I found...

She actually made herself a bed and went to sleep. What is going on? This has NEVER happened. EVER. So, I actually have time to blog without a screaming baby or a two year old banging on the keys and sitting right in front of my face while I try to update this thing without losing my temper until I eventually just face the facts and give up.
Okay, I've been feeling bad for not posting anything about Trav's birthday. He turned the big 3-0 two days after I had Connor. Needless to say I didn't do too much for him but his sisters took him breakfast at work for a surprise. He's got a great family! So happy birthday babe, I love you. You're the best a girl could ask for. I won't go on too much bc I know you don't read this but I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful husband who bends over backwards taking care of his family. And that is no joke. The poor guy will do ANYTHING for me. ANYTHING. Even in the middle of the night and I think I hear something and beg him to go downstairs and check or get me a drink of water. Yes, I'm so spoiled and lucky. I'm going to cry just thinking about how much he does for me and how much he wants to make me happy. He's always asking me if I'm happy and what he can do to make me happier. Okay enough mushy stuff...
Valentine's day was a great day. I went downstairs to find that Trav had gotten up early to surprise me with flowers. He's so sweet. And my house cleaner came. Yes, I have a house cleaner. As much as I hate to admit it b/c it's hard on my pride, :), I have one and LOVE it. Travis got her for me towards the end of my pregnancy to help out and I haven't been able to give it up. So I go down see my flowers and smile, let my house keeper in, smile some more, and bake a cake for my hubby. Later on both kids and I take a nap, and that in itself is a miracle. For dinner we order Olive Garden take out and it was really good, especially bc I didn't have to cook it or clean up after it!
Connor is doing well and growing fast. He definitley lets me know when he's upset but is a really good sport about being smothered with love from his big sister. The first thing she does in the morning, besides saying, "Mom, dad, I'm up. I sleep good tonight! It's a lovely day, get up," is to go find Connor and love on him. I usually don't want her to bc he is still sleeping but, she's so cute about it I can't get mad at her. We've been having fun hanging out at home for the past few weeks trying to keep Connor in so he doesn't get sick. Well, that and the fact that I'm still scared to go anywhere by myself with two kids in tow. What do I do when Connor's in the cart and Kins decides to run off and hide in the racks or run down aisles? Yeah, I can just picture it in my head and it's enough to make me stay home until Trav decides to come home from work. It has been weird though not going to church since he's been born. My weeks feel weird and life feels like something is missing. As much as I hate it when Sunday rolls around and we've got to be there at 8 and I'm all stressed about how singing time will go in primary, I really do miss it. Weird how that works. It's amazing how much just going to church invites the spirit into our home and how much it reminds us about what is important in life. I will however enjoy the two more weeks I have off of primary duty. Not that I don't love the kiddos and their funny comments about how pregnant I was, but it's a nice little break.
Oh I was so happy this morning bc I tried on my pre prego jeans and could actually zip them up! YAHOO!! Okay well I still have the smooshy 3month pregnant looking tummy but hey at least I could get them on. I was happy.
Ok well I tried to post pictures in this but everytime I do they just keep going to the top, and I refuse to retype this and for some reason my cut/paste isn't working. So, I'll just make another post with pictures.
