Buyers Remorse

For my birthday, Travis told me to go pick out the furniture for my living room.  YEA!! I've been looking for months. Holy cow, it was so stressful.  If you know me very well, you know I analyze every single detail of every single thing and it makes things like this a process- to say the least.  It is SO annoying.  I ended up being at this fabric store for two hours and spent way over my budget. Now I'm worried that it's not going to turn out well, I can't sleep and my stomach hurts.  I'm worried the chairs are going to be too small, Travis is going to look like a  giant in them.  I got really cute fabric, but one of the chairs is white with a really cute print on it.  My kids are going to destroy it. I keep telling myself they are not allowed in there.  Who am I kidding? I'm having baby number three and I don't want to be worried about them going into my living room. What a waste of space.  Then the sales lady was kind of rude to me b/c I called back later and switched to a bigger couch.  Does she really expect to me walk in there know exactly what I want, exactly what fabric, exactly what wood stain, exactly what pillow to do what with, and it not take long? Seriously lady earn your commission.  I bought three pieces and there are a lot of decisions.  I mean she was nice most of the time but whatever.  Crap.  It's non-refundable.  Maybe if I have Travis throw a fit they will cancel my order.  I mean, I think it'll be really cute, but ahh.... I'm freaking out.  Anyway, I'm pretty sure I won't get my money back so cross your fingers that it turns out!! It was really sweet of Travis to let me do this though, he didn't even get mad about the money and he didn't complain about what I bought.  He told me it was my thing and to get what I wanted.  Usually he wants to make the decisions, I think he's finally trusting my decorating skills...ha ha.  Anyway, it was sweet of him to just try to keep me happy all day.  Seriously, these hormones are awful this time around. I could just start to cry at the drop of a hat.  I think the lady at the store thought I would start crying at any second.  I don't feel good, I'm really tired, really grouchy, and how do I take care of my kids?  I was wondering how my mom took care of seven kids when she was pregnant with number 8. What a stinking nightmare for her!! Kinsey keeps saying, "are you mad at me?" It's really sad.  I try really hard, but my patience is so thin right now and then the nausea hits and I just want to lose it.  I hate to say it but seriously my kids might get really friendly with the TV for the next three months, until I'm feeling better.  It may just be better for all of us.  I hate to do that, but for some reason even just thinking about putting on a swim suit makes me really nauseous.  Weird. I know, but it does.  If we're not swimming this summer then we are definitely stuck inside and there are only so many things to do inside.  Okay, I'll stop whining I just needed to vent. I've been up since four and needed to get this out so I could sleep. Too bad now my kids are about to wake up.

DOn't worry about it. I'm sure it will look great! HOrmones suck! Don't feel bad about using the TV either. The next three months isn't the rest of their lives, and if it makes life easier for you then just do it! Also don't feel bad about kicking your kids out of the living room either. SOme rooms are just for MOm's and their shopping!

I love you Amber. Those decisions are so hard. What store did you go to that makes you choose all that out? I'm sure it will look beautiful your house always looks great. How sweet of Travis to let you do it on your own. WHen will you get it all? You're a great mom don't stress so much. Call me if you need some one to vent to but maybe not at five in the morning I probably won't answer.ha

Hang in there, Amber! It will get better! The moms that say that their kids never watch tv, yeah freaking right. Then their house must be a freaking disaster.
Maili always asks me if "I like being a mom." They won't remember these moments where you feel like you're the worst mom. And I know you're a GREAT mom. And I feel nauseous about getting into a swimsuit and I am not pregnant.
Love you!

First of all, Congratulations! I'm sorry that you feel crappy though. Hopefully not for too much longer! And second, I did the same thing when I ordered our living room furniture. I called the day after I ordered it asked them to put everything on hold because I wasn't sure. But I'm really happy with the result so I'm sure you're making the right decision. It's just hard when it's alot of money and something you'll have to live with for a long time. Can't wait to see the room done!
