Me and my babies

Well it's been a LONG 2 weeks but we made it out alive... maybe a little stinky from all the times Connor has pooped/peed on me but alive nonetheless. Kinsey came down with strep throat the day we got back so that was a nice little cherry on top of recovering from giving birth. I don't know what I'd do without my mom here to help me adjust to having two kids. Luckily Connor has been a great baby so far. I can already see the differences in their personalities. When Kinsey was his age she would scream bloody murder if she got hungry and her reflexes were so strong and intense. Connor on the other hand just kind of starts whining when he is hungry and will wait patiently while I prepare for the self torture of nursing him and his reflexes are just so soft and relaxed. He is totally laid back. THANK THE HEAVENS ABOVE!! I don't think I could handle another Kinsey. I love her more than anything but she is a DRAMA QUEEN and so very curious. She has been a great big sister though. Right now she is checking on him to make sure he is still sleeping in his crib. She wants to help so bad she can't stand it. Even when I change his diaper, which by the way I have yet to see one diaper without poop in it (I knew all guys were full of you know what), she wants to help wipe his little fanny. It's so fun to watch her with him. So, do all little boy babies shiz as much as mine? Right when I put him in the bath or lift his little legs to wipe his bottom poo just squirts right out. Yesterday I changed his diaper and buttoned his onsie only to hear a big squirt of it refilling his pants. Okay that may be a little disgusting but I'm sure many of you understand my disgust as I begin the whole diaper changing process over again- which now includes covering the little you know what so I don't get peed on for the millionth time. Oh the joys of motherhood. But I will agree with Jenni's post about how great it is to be a mom no matter how stinky (literally) the job is...

Tagged by Jenni...

GREATEST MEMORY - 1 of 3 The first time we took Kinsey to Disneyland, the Young fam Havasupi hike, or our California girls trip... All were awesome.

GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT - Getting the guts to actually sing for my calling as primary chorister (which requires singing with the kids in sacrament meeting totally horrifying) Trust me no one wants to hear that, but I am taking voice lessons so hopefully I'm getting a little better. I also learned to sew and made my own curtains. Something I swore I would NEVER do. Oh and definitely surviving another pregnancy. This is really not fun.

GREATEST HEARTACHE - My miscarriage.

GREATEST EPIPHANY - I never really had a problem with this before I was a wife and mom but, thinking positively really does make you happy. "Let virtue garnish thy thoughts unceasingly..."

GREATEST YOUTUBE VID - hmmm... I'm definitely behind but I second Jenni on the Star-Wars Pageant girl, . http://youtube.com/watch?v=Wffwg7pA0t8, pretty dang funny.

GREATEST MOVIE - Not sure but some kind of romantic comedy always makes me happy

GREATEST RECORDS - ???? I am totally out of the loop when it comes to these things.... but I have to admit that Kins and I have a dang good time dancing our hearts out to the Kelly Clarkson CD, pathetic I know. But my favorite songs are usually men singing country- especially with a sexy deep voice

GREATEST CONCERT - Faith Hill and Tim McGraw... Unbeatable. Trav and I went together and had great seats. It was so much fun. She sounds even better in person.

GREATEST MOMENT OF IMMATURITY - Umm... I actually had a fight with my dad this year. Wasn't that supposed to end when I was 17? Also, at night when I get so tired I can barely see I ALWAYS get mad at Travis for no reason at all. As much as I try I just can't help it :)... (Hopefully this will end after the baby comes and I'm not so hormonal)

GREATEST AREA OF GROWTH - Learning to be mature enough to be a good wife and mom.

GREATEST MOMENT - The first time Kinsey said, "I love you mommy" without any prompting. I think that was this year anyway

UPDATE: I am tagging the following individuals to post their answers to the above Greatest of 2007. Cut + paste, folks. Tiffany, Debbie, Bre, and Kara

Lipstick Disaster

Kinsey LOVES makeup and always wants to destroy mine so we bought her some for Christmas. She usually does pretty well at not getting it all over until yesterday she decided she needed a beard. Doesn't she look handsome?

Hey I wasn't kidding when I asked for name suggestions.... We can't seem to agree on a name. The only ones we sort of agree on are Tate and Connor. But we don't LOVE either. Help me please!!
